We live in a world whose appetites are controlled by the world, the flesh, and the Devil. The strength of these illusions is based on the fact that the natural man is in, and of, the world, an enemy of God, whose appetites are controlled by self appeasement, and because he is blind to the things of God, he eagerly embraces the lies of Satan. Praise God that now is the day of Salvation and that Jesus alone has brought light and life to the people that sit in darkness have seen a great light. Many times I think Christians fail to "Man up" to our responsibility to be God's man or woman to faithfully share the Good news that Christ can set us free, and give us a whole new perspective of serving God with gladness, because of sins forgiven, freedom in God's presence, hope for the future, the Spirit of God living in us, having effective weapons from God to fight the Enemy, rather than constantly succuming to the thief of our souls, whose only goal is to kill, to steal, and destroy.
