Thank you for some other excellent post. The place else may just anyone get that kind of information in such an ideal manner of writing? I've a presentation next week, and I'm at the look for such information.

Count me among those eager to see your D600 review. Hope that will include a side-by-side D600/D800 resolution test. dpreview.com is great for comparing all the nuts, bolts and numbers, but your in-hand impressions and common-sense recommendations streamline all that into something that's uniquely accessible and helpful.

I think you are thinking correctly, the D600 should have very high resolution for a good savings. I will let you guys know all about it after I get a chance to shoot it, hopefully next week.

We are very interested in getting a look at this camera. Please keep me in the loop. Maybe we can schedule a visit.

This brings in the $64,000 question.... How many megapixels is enough? The way I figure it, it depends almost solely on the printing one does. If you don't make large prints of your images the D800 may be overkill... or is it? I don't make very large prints (yet!) but I still find myself wanting the D800. :)

I am leaning toward the D600 because I have to ask myself "do I need more than 24MP?" The $900 saved can go towards the 16-35 or 14-24 that I want to go with it. The "gear monster" in me wants both, seems that would be the holy grail setup for someone who doesn't shoot much action.

I've been keeping my eye on the d600 - so excited it's been released. I'm totally a Nikon girl and I'm praying that somewhere in my future will be a full-frame sensor camera. I can't wait to read your review. Still have my eye on the d800 though. I like those megapixels. I'd be interested to know what you sacrifice getting the d600 instead of the d800 and if those things are really worth it - I guess it depends what you shoot - I'm totally into the landscapes and I do a lot of HDR also. Thanks Bill - can't wait to read your review.
