Surprise!!! It’s out…….

The book is live at the eBook store now!  We caught a break and got things done earlier than expected!  Please feel free to check it out!!  I think Fuji Users will love it, it covers a lot of ground!I had a call from a friend the other day and he asked why so many books so fast!  I’m glad he asked, and I would like to share that with you too!  It’s a big joke with Scott Kelby, he always introduces me as “A man barely alive!”  That came from when we first met and I spoke often about my mortality and Scott, loved teasing me about my penchant for the uncertainty of the end of life!  My father passed away at age 66, and I guess for many years I thought I wouldn’t last much longer than that, you know, heredity and all of that.  Well I’m 68 and will turn 69 in February, I guess I beat the first hurdle! Don’t get me wrong,  I’m not afraid of dying, I know where I will  be when the time comes, and since I’ve survived cancer twice.  No, I’m not afraid for this life on earth to end, but I don’t want to leave anything I meant to do, undone!

I’ve spent a lifetime learning everything I can about the craft of photography, and I just want to get as much of it down on paper, or as it would be a computer file!  I love to teach and share, and for anyone interested I plan to keep cranking them out!

Next up is the Americana Photography, Step -By-Step Guide!  It should be in the eBook store by Friday of next week.  It is 179 pages.  It not only explains how to approach American Photography but has countless illustration of different kinds of Americana Subject matter!  When you get one of the new books if you email me a quote about it and we use it in a blog or on the store, I would love to give you a free book from the store!

Thanks guys for being along for the ride!

Blessings,

It was good reading, finished it early this morning. As a Fuji shooter myself, I think you’ve answered a lot of questions that people have about the Fuji X system and give some excellent information and tips. If someone is thinking about the Fuji System or is just moving to it, this is the best $ they can spend.

        Keep on writing Bill !

Just finished page by page and all I can say is……….

Going, Going, Gone it’s Outta Here……… A Home Run!

A must read for any one contemplating making the move to mirrorless particularly Fuji or
for those like myself who sold their full frame Nikon gear and 2.8 glass and who are constantly looking for the small tips to create big pictures..

    Thanks Bill!

  7. Wow! I knew it would be great from the preview pieces you had posted…..but it is beyond that, it’s awesome….
….Now, let me go home and pack up all that DSLR gear and move it on so I can start building my Fuji system!!
Thanks, Bill, my virtual bookshelf is now brimming with your e-books!

    Adding my thanks.

The Fuji ebook saves me time searching back through your blogs to find info that I remembered reading something about.

Will the 18-135 be replacing your 18-55 in your basic kit?

Bessie and I look forward to again working with you at the Mt Rainier workshop in Aug. After the Nelson workshop, she has become an avid fan – as I am – of the X-T1. I now no longer owe her a D810 Nikon to replace her D800 we sold. Downsizing for us is great.

No the 18-55 is still my choice when I carry the three lens kit (10-24 – 18-55 – 55-200) This is my light weight three lens package to cover the most ground, (focal lengths), in the lightest possible package. While the 18-135 is a very convent walk around lens when one lens has to do, and it has the weather resistant aspect, however, the 18-55, over it’s focal length, is still a hair sharper. The nice thing about the Fuji lenses is from the absolute sharpest to the not “as” sharp, they’re all just wonderful. I don’t own the 18mm f2 because I have other lenses that cover that focal length, but those that own it tell me, it is “not as sharp” as the rest, but still very sharp. Says a lot about the Fuji lens designers, makers!
Enjoyed you guys too, downsizing good!

Thanks for your further info. re: the 18-55 and 18-135. do you find the 55-200 to also be sharper than the 18-135 over the common focal lengths?

Have another question the internet seems to not give a clear answer.

What is the maximum shutter speed for using OIS before the image stabilization system causes images to not be as sharp? With my Nikon’s I found it was about 1/500 to 1/750 or so. I am hearing various reports that on the Fuji it is a much slower shutter speed, but not seeing anything definitive.
