Other important news………….

Jack and I were a little late getting the announcement of the Nelson Ghost Town Event posted and the registration have come in slower than usual, but trust me if you are an Americana shooter this is a killer location, actually my favorite!  If we get just three more folks registered we will be running the event with a pretty small group, which will be great for those that come as it will just be Jack and I and 6 or 7 folks!   If you’ve never been to this location check your calendar and see if you could join us.  We stay in a beautiful, and reasonable, Spring Hills Suites by Marriott in Henderson, NV only a 25 minute drive from Nelson and on the last evening we make trip into Las Vegas to shoot at the incredible Neon Sign Museum!  With special permission we are able to be in the museum at sunset and when it gets dusk for great shooting of the lit signs against the fading desert sky!!!   This is worth the trip alone!  I’ve included some images from this past years shoot below!  If you think you may want to join us contact Jack at     http://www.jackgrahamphoto.com/workshop/ghost-towns-americana-and-landscapes-nevada-desert-bill-fortney-jack-graham

On my flight out to Las Vegas for last years Nelson Ghost Town event I had seen in the SkyMall catalog some signs of peoples names with photographs of individual, different letters, and so I shot the entire alphabet while in at the Neon Museum to spell out each of my grandchildren’s names, Benjamin’s is above!

What’s next?  I’m starting on the two books in one, America From 500m Feet Volumes I & II today!  Soon to follow Learning to See Photographically and The Journey, My Personal Story, …………..* a photo illustrated audio book!

Oh, and coming soon a Podcast devoted to Faith and Photography!!!!!

Blessings,

the pilgrim

My morning prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank you for all you have done for me, for your love, comfort, forgiveness, compassion, protection, and strength!  Thank you for Sherelene and my wonderful family, for incredible friends, bothers and sisters in you.  I’m overcome with thankfulness for your kindness to me.  Thank you for allowing me to serve you in the only way I know how, loving others with your never ending love!

We attended the Nelson Ghost Town Workshop in 2014. There is so much there to photograph we have signed up to go back again this year. Jack and Bill are great workshop leaders. I encourage you to give Nelson a try if Americana is your thing. — Note: This is a totally unsolicited endorsement.
