Have I told you lately that I love you?

Some time back I bought a CD, the Best of Van Morrison, one of the songs on the CD was, “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?” I thought it was a beautiful love song until I read the liner notes and discovered that it was written to the Lord. I went back and listened to the song over andover, it has now become one of my favorites and it is a true blessing to find out that Van Morrison is brother in Christ. I’ve done a image synch that I will share this weekend of different artist’s conceptions of Jesus, set to this song. It is surprisingly powerful. I’m really looking forward to worshiping with friends this weekend. I’ve often thought that when brothers and sisters come together to enjoy fellowship and honor Him, it must be just a little bit like Heaven will be like. That is a praise and worship service I can’t wait to attend!

Take a moment to read the lyrics from the song and spend a moment telling Him how much you love Him. Life us up this weekend and we will honor Him in all we do…..

Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there’s no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that’s what you do.

For the morning sun in all it’s glory,
Meets the day with hope and comfort too,
You fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better,
Ease my troubles, that’s what you do.

There’s a love less defined,
And its yours and its mine,
Like the sun.
And at the end of the day,
We should give thanks and pray,
To the one, to the one.

Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there’s no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that’s what you do.
There’s a love less defined,
And its yours and its mine,
Like the sun.
And at the end of the day,
We should give thanks and pray,
To the one, to the one.

Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there’s no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that’s what you do.

Take away all my sadness, fill my life with gladness,
Ease my troubles, that’s what you do.

Take away all my sadness, fill my life with gladness,
Ease my troubles, that’s what you do.

Praise and worship is a vital part of our relationship with Him. I practice it everyday and it brings me incredible peace and joy.
