Some thing that really tick me off……..,.

Number 1.  I’m reading a new book by Ronald Kessler called  The First Family Detail.  It is the behind the scenes story of some of our recent presidents and their families and their dealing with the Secret Service, FBI and our Military personnel.  I have to say it probably was not a shock to me, but some of the stories bring new understanding of the depravity of most of our leaders.  That we send these people to Washington represent us, and they behave as many of them do is sickening!  If you are considering voting for Hillary, you need to read this book!  If you think you know her, you need to read what countless Secret Service people have to share about her, truly disgusting.  I am certainly not without fault, but I strive to be genuine, what you see is what you get, that is apparently far from the real Hillary Clinton!!!!  Trust me, the whole book is an eye opening read.  Morality and decency has been absent from Washington for some time!

Number 2.  I’ve had with the TV networks.  Let me explain.  I watch old TV shows and movies I never got to watch because of my schedule when I’m working in my office.  Ever once in a while a find a show I like and put it in the upper left hand corner of my iMac while I process images or answer emails.

I recently found a show I really enjoyed, Taxi Brooklyn, well written and acted, great TV, and I watched the entire season over several week in and out of my office.  I got the the last episode of Season One and it was one of those cliff hangers leaving all kinds of questions unanswered.  I jumped back on Netflix and went to find Season 2, nothing there????  I Googled the show and found an article saying that NBC and cancelled it after one season!?&%$#^$#Q@  O.K. I t think it should be a law of televisions that if a show is cancelled hanging like this that one more episode has to be filmed to give viewers closure, I mean these people had become my make believer friends, and now they have just disappeared.  Sound pretty lame for a grown man, who knows this is fiction to care, but dang it, they owe us that much if we watch a whole season!!!!     Come on guys, give us a break!!!!!

Number 3.  Football Season is still almost four weeks away.  Man do I miss it.  I live for the college and pro football seasons.  I can stay mild interested in Kentucky Basketball, could care less about the NBA, or Major League Baseball!  It has been a long dry spell,  just can’t wail!

O.K. so not really earth shaking issues, but fun to ponder!

Blessings,

Whoa!!! It may be time to consider switching to decaf, Bill!

You should try a show on Sunday evenings called The Last Ship. It’s a summer show so will probably be over soon but interesting plot especially if you have any military experience.

Fall and high school and college football means marching bands. I was shooting at the high school marching band’s band camp this evening. Earlier this week I was watching a Dave Black video on shooting high school football. The high school’s first game of the season is 17 days away. I just need longer days to take care of the day job, shoot the band and football team, and have time to work on the pictures. It’s gonna a fun season.

Sadly, the author of that book, Mr. Kessler, has a rather mixed record. I thought I recognized the name, and sure enough, he was the one who wrote a book in 2004, A Matter of Character, praising the presidency of George W. Bush. To me that alone calls into question his judgment.

He’s also written for a far right website, Newsmax, so I don’t consider him to be objective, and indeed, if one does some research, there is some legitimate criticism of that author as being rather partisan.

As for me I will proudly vote for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Compared to the Republican field of what to me are all crazy, far right candidates, each vying with each other to see who can be the most angry and nasty and pessimistic, she will be vastly superior.

In fact, this type of attack on Hillary Clinton reminds me of the personal attacks on Bill Clinton, who admittedly was no saint and not perfect. But his presidency was surely very successful, far more successful than George W. Bush. And in the end I am voting for someone to do a job, a very hard job, and what matters most to me is that the person can do the job, and I see no evidence that anyone on the Republican side is even up to the task.

Sorry I stirred up the hornets. Aren’t you glad we live in a country that allows such widely diverse opinions!

        • Mike Early says:

that was yes to the opportunity for diversity. I happen to be one of those folks that knows all he needs to know about Hillary to classify her near the top of my “bad” list! but that’s just my opinion and luckily it is still OK for each of us to have one.

      • Tom Roper says:

Sometimes it’s good to stir up the hornets nest so we know America isn’t sleeping at the switch. Donald Trump for example has stirred up a hornets nest by not being politically correct. He is at least bringing up issues that need to be looked at, while others just want to sweep it under a rug because..it wouldn’t be popular.
Once when Hillary was a senator from New York and talk of a candidacy was discussed a friend of mine said she would be a great president because she was a great senator and done so much. I asked what had she done that made her feel this way? I got silence. I can respect when someone has an opinion and something to back it up.
Hillary has too much baggage, in particular Benghazi and email-gate. I certainly don’t want another president who doesn’t understand there are 3 branches of government and a guiding document called the constitution.
I typically don’t comment on politics but I couldn’t help myself Bill. Thanks for my small soap-box!

Many courageous men and women have given their lives so we, stick, have that right!

        • Jim Goshorn says:

Couldn’t agree more Tom. Benghazi was a tragedy and one of her answers to a Congressional panel was at this point what does it matter? It matters to the families of those who died. It matters that ridiculous stories were used to try and cover it up.

More and more facts are coming to light about her email antics. First she said she didn’t want to deal with multiple devices but it has been shown she in fact does use multiple devices. Then she said she never put secrets on the server but how many are now considered classified (doesn’t matter when she did it; they are considered classified)? The server was wiped clean. Why if there was nothing to hide was it wiped and why won’t she turn it over?

Hillary was shown by CBS news, speaking to an international audience and talking about redistribution of wealth. Since the US is the wealthiest nation (who’s willing to give our money away), where do the people think this is going? Remember all those who were suffering here from storms and had to hope for FIMA help only to get at best a fraction of what they needed at a low interest rate? At the same time, other countries had storms and we gladly gave them the money. No questions, no loans. That’s redistribution of wealth boys and girls. How many countries do we give money to while we have struggling hungry, homeless, poor, under educated, under employed or unemployed? That’s redistribution of wealth boys and girls.

Bill lied to Congress and he was impeached by the House but saved by the Democrats in the Senate so he got away by the skin of his teeth. Hillary was questioned about Whitewater. There are questions over conflict of interest with contributions to Clinton Foundation by foreign officials. The list goes on and the Clinton’s continue to think they are above the law and the news media covers or minimalizes the facts.

Hillary can classify herself as a Progressive but that it just a hair more conservative than a Socialist. Bernie Sanders is a self proclaimed Socialist and they both are running under the Democratic ticket. Things that make you go Hmmm??

    • Don Bromberg says:

I couldn’t agree more with you Wade!!!

  5. Don DeLong says:

What happens if she is elected and then suddenly out of the blue a hacker (Russian, Chinese?) reveals the “lost” emails? Serving as our Commander in Chief from a jail cell would have to make her job more difficult I would think?

  6. I would not vote for Hillary Clinton unless she’s running against some crazy kook (which is a possibility). But I will tell you what I, as a person who spent considerable time in Washington, know about her. First, she is a smart, independent woman in her own right. Second, as a United States senator she had a reputation for coming early, leaving late and working hard when she could have rested on her name. Third, I am glad she was our secretary of state because she was one of the more competent people in the Obama administration (which may be a scary thought). Benghazi and E-mails are political tripe. What I also know is that she isn’t a very nice person and not always forthright. She’s also polarizing — most people either like her or hate her. She utterly lacks what it has to bring the country together even if the Republicans were more statesmanlike. And the Clinton stories I heard from my Secret Service friends were not complimentary.

They did like George H.W. Bush. He was the kind of guy who would say to an agent, “I am going to the galley. Want me to bring something back for you?” And Ronald Reagan was a fun guy. Nancy, no.

    • Ten people are on a boat. Five work for the company that built the pumping system. The other five work for the boat operator. Something happens and the boat begins taking on water plus the pumping system isn’t sucking it up and spitting it out as it should. The boat is sinking and the two sides are blaming each other for the situation instead of trying to fix the problem and right the ship. That’s the sad state of affairs in American politics and government today. We have people who would rather have the boat sink instead of coming together to solve a problem.

  7. Jim Goshorn says:

I also agree with you Dick. Washington has really turned into one big partisan blame game. One of the best ways to think about it is to think of a guy on a street corner trying to hustle people with the shell game. In Washington’s case, the shells are the stories they tell us and the ball is the honest truth. They try to divide us along ethnic lines, political lines, income lines and anything else they can think of because as long as they keep us riled up and fighting amongst ourselves, we won’t notice what they are up to in the background. We are being hustled and Washington is winning.

A tactic I especially like is when party A puts out a bill that they tell us is aimed at something we want such as education. Then inside the bill, they load it with all kinds of crap that they know party B doesn’t want. Now they sit back with a big grin on their face because if party B kills the bill, they tell the people that party B doesn’t give a damn about their education and if they pass it, they got all their crap that wouldn’t pass if done as separate items. Party A wins either way.

Washington is the fox guarding the hen house. They make the laws and they act in their best interests and if that coincides with our interests, fine; otherwise, they go on their merry way and we pay the piper.

There was a great line in the movie The Hunt For Red October “I’m a politician Jack, which means I’m a cheat and a liar and when I’m not kissing babies, I’m stealing their lollipops.”
