The Versatile 18-135 XF f 3.5-5.6 Fuji lens
Carl Turner’s questions led to a few emails from folks asking, “really, the 18-135 is your go to lens???!!!” Yep, Really! I decided to go through my recent trip images an pull a few that haven’t been published that show the versatility of this great little lens! Enjoy!
I know a few of these were previously published but I think they provide good cross section of the lenses capability!

This last series of blog posts has been hugely helpful Mr. Fortney! I have been VERY tempted to switch over to Fuji system since they came out with the XT-1. Sounds like if I make the switch, the 18-135 would be the best all around lens choice if I had to go with one body/ one lens. I’m really excited to see what the XT-2 will be like. Might need the battery grip too. You are a blessing. Enjoy your rest my friend!

I purchased the 18-135 at your recommendation at the the Smokeys Summit last fall. Best decision I made. I use that lens 90% of the time. I’ve gone out for the day with only the 18-135 and didn’t feel restricted. Thanks Bill for your insight and recommendation.

Thanks Bill. Question for you – I went and handled the 18-135 at B&H and found the zoom was very tight and sticky at the long end. I asked if it was becausbecause thethe lens was a beat-up demo, or the weather sealing, or something else. They told me that all the 18-135’s were like that. Is that true?
