Who am I in Christ?
My pastor Tim, delivered a wonderful sermon on Sunday, a great teaching session! I would like to share it with you! The question was asked, “Who am I in Christ?” The answer is wonderfully revealing. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we become three things immediatley:
I am accepted!
I am secure!
I am significant!
The Word teaches us some astounding truths about our relationship with Him.
John 1:12 I am God’s child!
John 15:15 I am Christ’s friend!
Romans 5:1 I have been justified!
1 Corinthians 6:17 I am united with the Lord in one with Him in spirit!
1 Corinthians 6:20 I have been bought with a price and I belong to God!
1 Corinthians 12:27 I am a member of Christ’s body!
Go to sleep knowing that if you have accepted Him, He has accepted you in all these ways!!!!

Bill,
Thank you for your encouragement. The question that I have been wrestling with these past few weeks is, “Since I have been bought with a price, indeed the highest price, and I belong to God, what then am I do?” While God’s gift of salvation demands only that we believe, surely it is required of us to live our lives dedicated to fulfilling His commands. I am seeking what that looks like in my life.
