\nI just read Scott Kelby’s blog post for today and I had to expand on it! \u00a0It is a beautiful sentiment, very thought provoking, let me take it a little further and hopefully provoke you a little more!<\/p>\n

This is his quote: \u00a0 “2016 is an unwritten chapter\u2026.Love deeply, live boldly, and go after something big!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “2016 is an unwritten chapter\u2026.” \u00a0<\/strong><\/span> At first this seems rather obvious, but sadly to many, \u00a0it’s not. \u00a0The important implication is that “you” can write the chapter of 2016! \u00a0What are you going to write about, what are you going to do that will become the story of 2016? \u00a0It’s up to you\u2026…<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Love deeply”<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 love noun 1\u00a0his\u00a0friendship\u00a0with\u00a0Helen\u00a0grew\u00a0into love:\u00a0deep\u00a0affection,fondness,\u00a0tenderness,\u00a0warmth,\u00a0intimacy,\u00a0attachment,endearment;\u00a0devotion,<\/p>\n adoration,\u00a0doting,\u00a0idolization,worship;\u00a0passion,\u00a0ardor,\u00a0desire,\u00a0lust,\u00a0yearning,\u00a0infatuation,<\/p>\n besottedness.\u00a0ANTONYMS\u00a0hatred.2\u00a0her\u00a0love for\u00a0fashion, compassion,\u00a0care,caring,\u00a0regard,\u00a0solicitude,\u00a0concern,\u00a0friendliness,\u00a0friendship,kindness,\u00a0charity,<\/p>\n goodwill,\u00a0sympathy,\u00a0kindliness,\u00a0altruism,unselfishness,\u00a0philanthropy,\u00a0benevolence,\u00a0fellow feeling,humanity.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Loving deeply is a powerful commitment.<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0Their is a big difference between the beer commercial’s \u00a0“I love ya man\u2026” \u00a0and \u00a0“I love you my friend.” \u00a0One is casual, one is not. \u00a0Real deep love is not casual. \u00a0Deeply loving others requires a lot of juice, juice I don’t have within myself! Thankfully, my Lord not only requires me to deeply love others, and He supplies His love! \u00a0If we try to love within the boundaries of our own abilities, we are doomed to failure, we simply are not equipped to have that kind of love, but that love is available, you just have to know where it is, and \u00a0how to access it!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Live Boldy\u2026<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0The definition for Bold has such words as; \u00a0courageous, valiant, fearless, audacious, daring, brave, adventurous, heroic, confident, and gutsy! \u00a0Be honest with yourself, are those terms you think others would use to describe you? \u00a0I know some years ago my answer would have been, sorry, \u00a0that’s not me. \u00a0Today, I hope those that know me best would feel comfortable using some of those terms in describing me. \u00a0I know that sounded awfully boastful, but hold on and let me explain. Why would that have not been an accurate description of me some years ago and might be now?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Some years ago I came to understand that this life is not about me, I accepted Christ and asked Him to teach me how to live the way He would have me live. \u00a0Now that construction project is still underway, it’s not nearly finished, but progress has been made! \u00a0Boldness is one of the traits He gave me. \u00a0I believe deeply in those things He has taught me, \u00a0loving others, truly caring for others, seeking to help anyone that I can. \u00a0If we are not fearless, courageous and gutsy, we will not accomplish much, \u00a0and that brings us to the last and most key point!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “\u2026.and go after something big!”<\/strong><\/span> \u00a0 This is the key to a great 2016, 2017, and the rest of your life! \u00a0Go for something BIG. \u00a0So what is big for you? \u00a0How about Fame? \u00a0Maybe Fortune, Maybe Power,or being Admired? \u00a0 I know you know better than that, none of those will bring you long term peace, joy and happiness. \u00a0Jesus said he that is first here, will be last there. \u00a0He was talking about service, the woman that gave a single coin of a small denomination in the synagogue, impressed Jesus more than those that gave lavishly. \u00a0Why, \u00a0because she gave a lot, of what little she had! \u00a0 One of the words that describes big in the dictionary is “significant”<\/span>.<\/strong> \u00a0What are you going to do in 2016 that will be significant next January when you review your year?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Scott has been \u00a0great friend to me, I’m proud to call him my friend, \u00a0and I thank him for this post. \u00a0So \u00a0“Learn how to love deeply, the rewards are enormous, Live Boldly having the courage to stand for something more important than yourself, and find something big enough to be worthy of your life.” \u00a0When it’s all over, what do you want to be the legacy of your life, what of real value can you leave your children, grandchildren and friends. \u00a0Important thoughts to ponder at the beginning of a year!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Blessings,<\/p>\n <\/p>\n the pilgrim<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Thanks Scott!
