I’ve now had a chance to use the Fuji X-PRO 2 \u00a0enough to start drawing some conclusions and answer some questions I’ve been getting! \u00a0Let’s start with questions:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
(1.) \u00a0Do you see any advantage to the X-PRO 2 in terms of the Optical viewfinder or should I wait for the XT-2?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you shoot with the 23mm, the 35mm and 56mm I think the Optical Viewfinder is a lot of fun and does have some advantages. \u00a0It is such a beautiful view and you can always switch to the Electronic Viewfinder for very wide and very long lenses. \u00a0Having that extra view outside the frame is starting to get addicting. \u00a0But if that is not important to you, wait. \u00a0However read the rest of this!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n (2.) \u00a0Is there any really huge advantages to the X-“PRO 2? \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Huge, not sure what huge means to you, \u00a0but I can tell you this, the new 24.3 mega pixel sensor is definitely better, the noise is better, the construction, especially the button actions are much better, the joy stick is well, a joy. \u00a0What else, The body is slightly larger and feels great in the hands and with the added grip is feels even better. \u00a0The new processor makes everything work a lot faster and the new AF system is much improved, so yes, it is a huge step up.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n (3.) \u00a0Will the Fuji X-T2 get all these goodies?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I really don’t know but my guess is that since they now have all this technology it would be surprising, very surprising if the sensor, processor, and button improvements plus the joy stick should make it to the new camera, but as I said I’m guessing!!!! \u00a0Fuji would want the New version of the X-T1 to be the equal of the X-PRO 2 except for the Optical Viewfinder, so it would make sense that the \u00a0new X-T2 (assuming that is what it would be called, doubt they would call it the Fuji X-T3) will be a big step up too. \u00a0 Hopefully by summer we will know!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n (4.) \u00a0Is there anything about the X-PRO-2 you can[t live without?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Live without? \u00a0No. \u00a0 Would really miss? \u00a0YES!!!! \u00a0Now that I’m used to the operation of the X-PRo 2 I’m going to be using it most of the time until we see what the X-T2 looks like and to be honest, I might end up buying a second X-PRO 2 even then, \u00a0it is one really fine camera.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n (5.) \u00a0Should I be loosing my mind over this? \u00a0I don’t know whether to \u00a0jump now, I’m just not sure I will like a rangefinder?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you are using the X-T1 and like everything about it, and I sure do, but want the new technology I would say wait, the rangefinder does take some getting used to, and I have to believe the X-T2 will be all the same good stuff. \u00a0If you can wait for a few months I think you will be good, if you just can’t wait, then hey, go for a X-PRO 2!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n So I hope that helps, I can’t wait to take this baby down Route 66 and on to Arches \/ Canyonlands.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Now on to something else: \u00a0I want to talk to all\u00a0of you\u00a0that\u00a0posted and\u00a0wrote\u00a0me emails an a few of\u00a0you even called me, the central theme has been am I o.k.? \u00a0Just in case you are worried and if\u00a0you are, thanks for being so concerned, but I’m\u00a0absolutely fine, even better than fine. \u00a0I don’t let\u00a0these kinds\u00a0of things\u00a0get me down. \u00a0I have\u00a0nothing but\u00a0love for all those\u00a0people\u00a0involved\u00a0in the Kelby Media\u00a0situation, \u00a0I know Scott is\u00a0suffering , I know\u00a0those that were let go are suffering, but everyone\u00a0is landing on their feet, they are talented hard working people and they will not only survive they will thrive, again! I’ve been through tough times, really\u00a0tough\u00a0times, and I’ve learned one thing, God is in\u00a0control, and we can\u00a0only win on\u00a0our knees! \u00a0We start by asking Him to take things over and we trust Him, no matter\u00a0how bad things are they are never\u00a0out of His\u00a0ability to perform miracles. \u00a0The mistake is\u00a0believing we\u00a0can do it\u00a0alone and not\u00a0letting go, and\u00a0giving it to Him. \u00a0My prayer right now is everyone\u00a0involved in this situation is\u00a0on their\u00a0knees\u00a0giving it to Him. \u00a0I pray\u00a0they come\u00a0to\u00a0understand that, it is the only way to see things made right. \u00a0Join me in\u00a0praying for\u00a0everyone involved. Real help is always\u00a0available for all of us, we just have to ask for it, let’s\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong>pray\u00a0that everyone does!
