In the early morning hours of March 11th Diane Oliver lost a husband and soul mate, our family lost a treasured and loved member, and the world lost an amazing man.\u00a0 Ron was a tribute to the word, courage.\u00a0 A number of years ago Ron lost both legs just above knees to a rare condition and has suffered years of debilitating phantom pains.\u00a0 This situation would have broken many men, but not Ron.\u00a0 When he went for physical therapy sessions all he could do was tell how tough the service members he met had it!\u00a0 Instead of grumbling or feeling sorry for himself he went about trying to live as normal a life as possible!\u00a0 I never spent time with Ron that I didn’t laugh a lot, he was a gift!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Diane was a picture of strength and courage as she helped Ron go down this tough path,supporting him all the way! She has been an inspiration to Sherelene and I with her never ending efforts to keep things afloat!\u00a0 We will all be praying for her comfort and strength.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It’s never easy to let go of the ones we love, but with all Ron suffered I wouldn’t want to ever want to deny the joy he is feeling today, living in a renewed body standing up straight on two new legs and pain free, plus about 32 years old again!\u00a0 I’m pretty certain that the lost and loved Marshall Football team gathered at the gate to welcome him home, that is a scene I would have loved to have seen!\u00a0 Until I see you again, I love you my friend!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
