I’m sitting in my office on Wednesday afternoon, feeling the incredible glow of Christmas time! \u00a0It’s joy! \u00a0How is joy different from happiness? \u00a0Happiness is a wonderful feeling we feel when our circumstances are great. \u00a0Webster’s says a ”\u00a0feeling or showing pleasure or\u00a0contentment. ” \u00a0 \u00a0The definition for joy is the same but it contains a lot more nouns that express the depth of joy;<\/p>\n

”\u00a0delight,\u00a0great pleasure, joyfulness, triumph, exultation, rejoicing, happiness, gladness, exhilaration, exuberance, elation, euphoria, bliss, ecstasy!”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Delight<\/span><\/strong> – to have such a Savior born into this world, and loving me, before I loved Him.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Great Pleasure<\/span><\/strong> in knowing I no longer face death, but eternal life!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Joyfulness<\/span><\/strong> to experience Christmas with family and friends, and relish the memories of a wonderful year!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jubilation<\/span><\/strong> is celebrating the birth of the King!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Triumph<\/span><\/strong> over the world and evil when He died for me!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Exultation<\/span><\/strong> of His Holy Name; \u00a0the King of kings, Lord of lords, the Great I Am, Jehovah, The Prince of Peace, The Lamb of God, The Messiah, my friend and Savior!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rejoicing<\/span><\/strong> at His birth and all His countless blessing to me and all those I love!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Happiness<\/span><\/strong> to be His child!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gladness<\/span><\/strong> that He saved me from my sins!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Exhilaration<\/span><\/strong> that He can love someone like me!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Exuberance<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0to be filled with the energy of the Holy Spirit to serve Him faithfully.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Elated<\/span><\/strong> to be a member of the family of God!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Euphoric<\/span><\/strong> to know the Truth and the Light.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Bliss<\/span><\/strong> to know Him as the Savior, the King, and my Lord.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ecstatic<\/span><\/strong> to be here now, celebrating Christmas with those I love (and that includes all of \u00a0you! \u00a0After all, you are in my family of God!)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jesus is truly the Light of the World, it is His Light that lights the way for us, show us where to go, where to stay, and how to be at Peace in Him. \u00a0In these last few days before the marvelous celebration of His birth, take time to pray and contemplate \u00a0how you can go out into the world and show His love, the way He showed it when He walked among us here on earth. \u00a0Ask Him to fill your heart with His love, compassion and grace.<\/p>\n
