\u00a0John&#8217;s images were certainly artistic enough, and his technical mastery was astounding. \u00a0John was a prolific writer and he had a number of best-selling how to books that formed the photographic library for many of us in the 70&#8217;s and 80&#8217;s. \u00a0The highest compliment might be that to this day many nature shooters, could rightfully be called John Shaw Clones! \u00a0 From John I learned discipline. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"> \u00a0<cite>www.<strong>johnshaw<\/strong>photo.com\/<\/cite><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/billfortney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Joe.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[5761]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5765\" title=\"Joe\" src=\"https:\/\/billfortney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Joe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"96\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/billfortney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Joe.jpg 96w, https:\/\/billfortney.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Joe-95x150.jpg 95w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 96px) 100vw, 96px\" \/><\/a>Joe McNally \u00a0<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0When I first met Joe, I had no idea how good he was, I was long out of photojournalism and I knew if he worked for Life he must be good, but I had not seen that much of his work. \u00a0Later when I got to know him, he was dating one of my best friends, Anne Cahill at Nikon, I came to love him as a great guy, and someone that Anne loved dearly. \u00a0Then I started seeing his magnificent work! \u00a0He astounded me with the breadth of what he could do with a camera, he still does! \u00a0As good a shooter as Joe is, he&#8217;s an even better man. \u00a0From Joe I learned the value of caring about my subjects! \u00a0Scott is one of those multi-talented individuals that comes along once a century. \u00a0The fact that he has more followers than you can imagine is well deserved. \u00a0That his success has been astronomical is only outweighed by the fact that he deserves it! \u00a0Bill has maybe the best eye for photographic design I&#8217;ve ever seen, his work, even with an iPhone is masterful. \u00a0I learned the value of simplicity in images from Bill. \u00a0 \u00a0You can see Bill&#8217;s work at\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Instagram<\/span><\/strong> search for \u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">sciencehill_360<\/span><\/strong>more links coming! \u00a0I seldom see an image in an ad or story that belongs to Art that doesn&#8217;t immediately announce that he was the shooter. \u00a0Art has been a good friend for along time and I am proud to have watched him get better and better over the years. \u00a0Art taught me that you have to stay in the field, behind the camera, to get the shot!
