Last week as I traveled with my team and twenty friends to photograph the spectacular Golden circle of Arizona and Utah’s national Parks and wild lands, I thought this is truly God’s Majesty in earthly form. \u00a0Over the past 43 years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling around the world, and photographed every imaginable land form. \u00a0Every time I come back to this region I think it is truly among the most spectacular on earth. \u00a0The one morning that we went up into the canyon at Zion and photographed the cottonwoods, (above), was one of the most pleasant times for me. \u00a0I loved the sheer beauty of these wonderful trees against the back drop of the canyon walls. \u00a0Zion National Park is truly one of the most awe inspiring places in the national park system. \u00a0But it goes well beyond the sheer natural beauty.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Zion is a park that was established because of the close connection the early settlers had between this land and their God. \u00a0Every feature in the park has a biblical reference.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Zion\u00a0|\u02c8z\u012b\u0259n|\u00a0(also\u00a0Sion)noun1\u00a0the hill of Jerusalem on which the\u00a0city\u00a0of\u00a0David\u00a0was\u00a0built.\u2022\u00a0the\u00a0citadel\u00a0of\u00a0ancient\u00a0Jerusalem.\u2022\u00a0Jerusalem.\u2022\u00a0(in\u00a0Christian\u00a0thought) the\u00a0heavenly\u00a0city or kingdom of heaven.\u2022\u00a0the\u00a0Jewish\u00a0people\u00a0or\u00a0religion.\u2022\u00a0the\u00a0Christian\u00a0Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Man has always been moved to associate the best and most magnificent things he sees and experiences with his God. \u00a0I personally find many things in life that overwhelm me as an example of God’s goodness and love. \u00a0My family, my brothers and sisters in Christ, the beauty of His creation. \u00a0All of these things cause a welling up of the joy in my spirit. My dear brother Chuck Summers writes often on his blog ( \u00a0http:\/\/www.seeingcreation.com\/<\/span><\/a><\/span> \u00a0) about the relationship of faith and honoring God and his magnificent creation here on earth. \u00a0I love the creation, but i worship God the Creator, as does Chuck.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I find tremendous peace being out in what god has created and I found even more hoy being with the great friends he lent us on this journey. \u00a0I pray daily for their protection, welfare and continued blessing form our God.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today’s Prayer: \u00a0Heavenly Father, thank you for the great blessings of your creation, but even more for the greater blessing of fellowship with your children! \u00a0I pray that you will hold each and every one of them close to your heart, protect and guide them, and fill them with a never ending knowledge o your deep love for them! \u00a0I pay that as they gather with family and friends on Thanksgiving that their hearts will be filled with unsurpassed \u00a0joy and thanksgiving. \u00a0 \u00a0In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
