As a photographer I’m really into texture.<\/p>\n

the\u00a0feel,\u00a0appearance, or\u00a0consistency\u00a0of a surface or a substance:\u00a0skin\u00a0texture\u00a0and\u00a0tone\u00a0|\u00a0the\u00a0cheese\u00a0is\u00a0firm\u00a0in\u00a0texture\u00a0|the different\u00a0colors\u00a0and\u00a0textures\u00a0of\u00a0bark.\u2022<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

the\u00a0character\u00a0or appearance of\u00a0a\u00a0textile\u00a0fabric asdetermined\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0arrangement\u00a0and\u00a0thickness\u00a0of\u00a0its threads:\u00a0a dark shirt of rough\u00a0texture.\u2022\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Art\u00a0the tactile\u00a0quality\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0surface of a work of art.\u2022\u00a0the\u00a0quality\u00a0created\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0combination\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0different elements\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0work\u00a0of\u00a0music\u00a0or\u00a0literature:\u00a0a closely knit symphonic\u00a0texture.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I love to see and then try and capture the consistency or inconsistency of a surface. \u00a0A very smooth glossy surface can give us the opportunity to show the gradation of tones, and a rusty surface can help us capture the feel of that rough texture! \u00a0 One of the great joys of the art and craft of making photographs is trying to capture those distinct visual moods. \u00a0To capture it you have to be aware of it and to be aware you have to look more deeply into the nature of surfaces.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The surface is the most outer layer. \u00a0You can’t see below that surface. \u00a0People are that way too, what you think you may see on the surface may not be what lies underneath. \u00a0While capturing surface images works for making a photograph, we must dive well below the surface with people, if we hope to have a great relationship with them. \u00a0That is vital because what God wants us to have is relationships, sharing and being a part of each others lives. \u00a0Photography is easy, life is hard, but wit God all things are possible.<\/p>\n
