I got down to the Smokies today to get things set for our Faithful Friends arriving tomorrow. Driving over from Maryville, I saw a great used car place specializing in collectables and couldn’t resist photographing a terrific painted wall! \u00a0Then later in the day i drove back over to Alcoa, Maryville’s sister city and ate at one of my favoprite burger joints in the region,\u00a0Hot Rod’s 50s Diner! \u00a0They have some of the best 50’s neon around and I love the piece of Marylyn Monroe in the famous movie scene from Some Like It Hot!<\/p>\n

I’ve really enjoyed getting things ready to hav ea great time with these friends! \u00a0Conditions are great in the Smokies, the streams have good water, and the weather promises to give us a real variety of light! \u00a0Thanks for your prayers, but don’t stop now!<\/p>\n
