Christmas is a lot of things, and of course the celebration of the birth of Christ is at the center, but I have to admit, my personal Christmas experience every year involves some of my favorite Christmas movies!!\u00a0 Please allow me to share some of my favorites!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with Five Classics from years gone by;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. A Christmas Carol.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> The classic story written by Charles Dickens.\u00a0 There are many wonderful adaptations, but my favorite is the 1951 film version starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge.\u00a0 Before Christmas I will share how this film changed my life!!!!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 White Christmas.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 This perennial favorite starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney is top notch old fashioned Christmas fun!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 It\u2019s A Wonderful Life.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> This wonderful Christmas Classic, filmed the year I was born, 1946, and directed by Frank Capra, and starring James Stewart and Donna Reed is on to never be missed.\u00a0 It\u2019s message will inspire you through out the rest of the year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Holiday Inn.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 The incredible music of Irving Berlin\u2019s graces this fantastic tale of two entertainers and their Christmas adventure in New England.\u00a0 This holiday tale is one of the most entertaining and best acted of all the old classics.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5. Miracle on 34th<\/sup> Street.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> Though done again in the 90\u2019s the original version from 1947 is still the best.\u00a0 If you still want to believe, this is a must!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

6. The Bishop\u2019s Wife.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> Cary Grant, Loretta Young, and David Niven star in this wonderful tale of faith and love at Christmas.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Now some of my favorites from the modern era;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 The Muppet Christmas Carol. <\/strong><\/span>\u00a0This beautifully done version of a Christmas Carol with the heartwarming music of Paul Williams and the capable acting of Michael Cane, not to mention, Kermit, Miss Piggy, The Great Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 Emmet Otter\u2019s Jug-Band Christmas.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 I could never leave this movie off my list, because it was the favorite of my daughter Catherine when she was little girl!\u00a0 To this day she can recite every single line a fraction of second before it comes on the screen!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 The Santa Claus.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Tim Allen has made two fortunes with this franchise, but the first was truly brilliant and touching, worth the time to revisit this great film, the others?\u00a0 It\u2019s your time!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 Home Alone & Home Alone 2.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 If you want to get in the Christmas mood and laugh good and hard, these are two not to miss!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

11.\u00a0 Christmas Vacation<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Christmas without Chevy Chase, you have to be kidding!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

O.K. let\u2019s make it an even dozen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

12. \u00a0A Christmas Story.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 This one is hard to miss, and you really shouldn\u2019t, if for no other reason but to see what Christmas was like for all us gray beards in the 1950s!<\/p>\n
