Color for Color Sake……
During the Roanoke workshop I saw a lot of color for color sake subjects, please allow me to share a few!
There is great joy in color, but the subtlety of monochrome has it’s own charms!!!!
Go out and have some fun!!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

Great images from our fair city! If any of your workshop attendees are train enthusiasts, the famous 611 steam locomotive will be making it’s triumphant return to Roanoke on May 30th. You can learn more about that event here: http://fireup611.org/
Great images again Bill and I hope to be able to attend or help out on your next adventures here in Roanoke.
Mark,I love your town! Have you been to Mission Bar B Q, if not it’s off the Colonial Exit, get over there pronto!!!!
Sorry MIKE, dang auto spell!!!
Bill had at least one rail enthusiast (train nut) in Roanoke — me. I last shot 611 on film in 1994 when it pulled an excursion from Chattanooga. I’m looking into returning to Roanoke to see 611 proudly return under steam. The crew that put 611 away in knew it was only a matter of time until those in charge returned 611 to steam. They did a nice job that made the restoration go much quicker and at a lower cost that it would have otherwise been. I’m looking forward to seeing 611 pulling a long string of varnish in N&W red.
Great to be with you David!!!!
Hey Bill,
My wife and I are very familiar with Mission BBQ and have enjoyed it when we go there. When we need to ship a package via Fed Ex or pick one up from there we usually go next door to Mission for dinner as we just “happen to be in the neighborhood” .
Smart man!!!!
