I’ve Been To The Well……
I just had a fantastic two weeks in the most unexpected way!!! You already know about how everything was wrong but ended all RIGHT in Buffalo with a great bunch of photographers!!!
I went on to Akron to join Jack Graham for our Semi-Annual Amish Country Workshop, well there was NO color, it was bald sky sunny everyday, but once again a great group of students worked hard, improved everyday and we had a wonderful time!
Tired and sick, I trudged down to Liberty University where I had promised to speak to classes for Tim Isaacson, (head of their photo department, and a dear Christian brother), and to do an evening community wide program. I came within a hair of cancelling, but the Holy Spirit said, “rest and I will hold you up, you’re here for a purpose!” I was obediaent. The program went great but the real blessing came on the morning before I spoke when Tim took me to the Convocation program held three days a week for students, I walked into a beautiful basketball arena to find the 9,000 seats filled with students singing and praising! An American college campus in 2017, with more than half of the student body there to workshop and it’s not mandatory!!!!! My heart was filled with joy, and it carried me through all the classes and evening program! I took a trip to the Well!!!!
This song by Casting Crowns tells it all!
“The Well”
Leave it all behind,
Leave it all behind,
Leave it all behind,
I have what you need,
But you keep on searchin,
I’ve done all the work,
But you keep on workin,
When you’re runnin on empty,
And you can’t find the remedy,
Just come to the well.
You can spend your whole life,
Chasin what’s missing,
But that empty inside,
It just ain’t gonna listen.
When nothing can satisfy,
And the world leaves you high and dry,
Just come to the well
[CHORUS:]
And all who thirst will thirst no more,
And all who search will find what their souls long for,
The world will try, but it can never fill,
So leave it all behind, and come to the well
So bring me your heart
No matter how broken,
Just come as you are,
When your last prayer is spoken,
Just rest in my arms a while,
You’ll feel the change my child,
When you come to the well
[CHORUS:]
And all who thirst will thirst no more,
And all who search will find what their souls long for,
The world will try, but it can never fill,
So leave it all behind, and come to the well
Yeah
Leave it all behind
The world will try, but it can never fill… leave it all behind
And now that you’re full,
Of love beyond measure,
Your joy’s gonna flow,
Like a stream in the desert,
Soon all the world will see that living water is found in me,
Cuz you came to the well
[CHORUS:]
And all who thirst will thirst no more,
And all who search will find what their souls long for,
The world will try, but it can never fill,
So leave it all behind, and come to the well
[Outro:] leave it all behind, leave it all behind… [repeat]
[Outro:] leave it all behind, leave it all behind… [repeat]

I remain amazed how He knows what we need during difficult times. Hope you are feeling better.
I am recovering and getting ready for two more weeks out, but among lots of great friends at the Summit and with jack and our gang ofter that!!!
I hope you’re still coming to the Faithful Friends gathering!!!!
oh absolutely!!
The line that keeps going through my head is “Be a blessing to others and you, too, shall be blessed”….
and it sure sounds like that fit your week, Bill. I have no doubt you were a blessing to the students and through His will you triumphed and were well rewarded! …and He knew what awaited you as long as you persevered!
That is always true with Him, be obedient, persevere and wait!!!!!
….and watch Him be glorified!
All things through Him…thanks for the testimony…get some rest!
