I hope you’ve had a great Memorial Day weekend, surrounded with family and friends. Many years ago I started a Memorial Day tradition.  I go off alone and watch the last couple of scenes of Saving Private Ryan, as a reminder of what this day is truly about.  Please take a moment and watch this clip from Vimeo.  Links provided.

    Thank you for the link about a great movie. I took a few minutes today to write my congressman (House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan) to express concern and outrage as a veteran over decades of the nation’s failure to honor our debt to care for our men and women in uniform and veterans. Both parties are to blame. Hope everyone will not be “too busy” to even send an E-mail to your congressman. Least we can do to honor the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform.
