The Time Is Now!!!!!!

I have been increasingly concerned, worried and fearful about what might befall America if we continue on the path we are on today.  Our nation is severely divided on politics, race, and faith.  God has blessed America and I believe He wants to continue to bless our nation, but real change must come, and not in our politics, but in our hearts.  We must replace hate with love, and strife with peace, and we can’t do that alone.  I ask you that starting this weekend that my readers would share this with everyone they know that is a believer and I ask that we start to pray fervently for God’s intervention in the trouble our nations faces.

I have been very stressed about preparing for the possible, and I’m afraid very likely, difficult times we could face as a nation and as a people.  I called my dear brother Dr. Charles Stanley this morning to share my concerns, and as always, He had a wonderful word for me.  He believes it is not to late for our nation to turn back to God and honor Him and He will honor our nation.

He gave me the scripture to read, and absorb into my spirit, I hope it brings you as much comfort as it has me!  God is in control, we need to be on our knees before Him!

Psalm 62    New Living Translation (NLT)

For Jeduthun, the choir director: A psalm of David.

I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.

So many enemies against one man—
all of them trying to kill me.
To them I’m just a broken-down wall
or a tottering fence.
They plan to topple me from my high position.
They delight in telling lies about me.
They praise me to my face
but curse me in their hearts. Interlude

Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in him at all times.  Pour out your heart to him,

for God is our refuge. Interlude

Common people are as worthless as a puff of wind,
and the powerful are not what they appear to be.
If you weigh them on the scales,
together they are lighter than a breath of air.

10 Don’t make your living by extortion
or put your hope in stealing.
And if your wealth increases,
don’t make it the center of your life.

11 God has spoken plainly,

and I have heard it many times:

Power, O God, belongs to you;
12     unfailing love, O Lord, is yours.
Surely you repay all people
according to what they have done.

This is the most serious issue I’ve ever brought before you, please join me in asking God to save our nation!

Be blessed in your pursuit of Him,

the pilgrim

Thanks Bill. Will join you in prayer and ask others to do so as well.

Please include in your prayers for the sides of so many issues to find their common ground. Whether it be Democrats vs. Republicans, Muslims vs. Christians, Black vs. Whites, gun freedom vs. gun controls, etc. We have become so polarized to the extreme in so many situations and think our own way is the only way. We have lost respect for the other side of the issue as well as for the desire to find compromises. Our founding fathers were able to achieve compromise and thus start a great nation on its original path. Let us re-kindle that spirit.

      Well said, Jerry.

I agree, the hate has grownup of proportion.

I agree. One problem we have always faced is people accepting other people who are different from them. As you allude to, the differences could be political, racial, ethic, religious, etc.

When you see entire groups of people, whether it be Muslims, Christians, Hispanics, African Americans, gay people, etc…be lumped together and demonized, that’s a huge problem.

Even Jesus was criticized for hanging out with the wrong types of people when He walked the earth.

Martin Luther King pointed out that the most segregated time in America is the church time Sunday morning…I’ve heard many pastors say the same thing…and yet sadly it still is true. Until the church reflects diversity, it will not be whole. Jesus compared the church to a body, and a body is not going to work very well if some parts of the body don’t know or get along with others.

    Perfect!

    Thanks for the encouraging post!

I’m with you all on this post. Let’s break down the barriers and differences. We’re all in this together and we should treat everyone as a brother and sister. Politically, whoever wins the election, both sides must compromise and do what’s best for all without denying freedom of choice. Yes, find Common Ground. This we can all strive for.

    Hi Bill:

I see your new schedule for Fuji X system workshops but no pricing. What is the cost for the announced learning opportunities?

    Thanks,

    God Bless You Bill

    Thanks Bill,

I too love our country. While i have strong personal views regarding ecomonic and politics, neither of these things will truly heal the land. Only as we come together to God will our own differences shrink to the size the belong to be. We do have issues, but God has a way to deal with them. IMO the same applies to marriage as it does to countries.

    It is not to late!
