Today we dealt with serious rain, but did get out for a few hours this morning in a heavy mist.  Cadillac Mountain was fogged in which is just what we wanted and the shots were terrific.  I spent most of my time teaching how to do close-ups and was amazed, as always with the glorious creation.    I hope you enjoy God’s handiwork!

Blessings,

Last night our group had dinner at a throw back diner called “Route 66”.   This little place is filled with antiques and collectables from the 40’s and 50’s era, my childhood.   It was a great experience to look around at old signs, toys, and various other memorabilia of that time in my life.  It reminded me of what it was like for my mom and dad to be alive, my grandparents, for my brother Homer to be a little boy and me only a little older.  It was a bitter sweet reminder of just how much time has passed and how much has changed in our world.  We certainly are not the people we were such a long time ago.  That’s sad, it was a simpler life, a time of a great deal more innocence.  While the world has changed, God’s love has not, it has been and will always be the one constant we can count on.

I was reminded again last night as I watched the group laugh and visit how good God is to us.  How he protects us, guides us, and places us in the very place we need to be to be blessed.  The last thing we did yesterday in the classroom before we broke for supper was share a slide show I often show.   The images are nothing spectacular, just some landscape stuff from over the years , but the song is a rich spiritual experience.   The song is Chris Tomlin’s “How Great Is Our God”   Dwell on it’s lyrics for a few moments this morning,  and enter into a time of praise of our Father.  It will bring you face to face with the majesty of our gracious, loving, God.

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice

He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end

The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Be blessed,
