System Update

After a couple of years of experimenting, I’m back again to one system, my Fujifilm X Series of cameras and lenses! In addition to what is pictured above, I purchased another Fujifilm XF 16 f 1.4, the Classic XF 35mm f 1.4 and another Fujifilm XF 70-200 f 3.5 to 4.8. All lenses that I have owned and loved before and sadly had let go of in the past! I also had the wonderful 100-400 and 50-140 lenses but both have become a little heavy for me! I still have the 1.4 and 2 times tele-converters so the 70-300 can be stretched out! I will purchase a new 8mm f 3.5 at some point!
It seems strange that I have the very latest X-T5 and the first X-T1 as my two bodies, the reason is simple; the X-T1 is still my preferred body for high ISO/low noise, and the X-T5 as my do everything hi-res body! I also have a X-Pro 2 body which I used with the Fujicrons; 16mmf 1.8, 23mm f 2, 35mm f 2, 27mm f 2.8 and the 50mm f 2 lenses. All that system is in a separate bag, for going light for travel and people!
A few shots that show of that wonderful Fujifilm color!!

Thanks for coming along for the ride!

the pilgrim

Nice to see you shooting Bill…I don’t care what you shoot as long as the light reflects back lovely!

Thank you!
Always love the ride with you Bill. Love seeing you doing another update on your gear. Assures me you are still thinking and planning and looking forward to shooting and still filling us in on your thoughts and adding some of your wonderful photos to inspire us…at least inspire me. Thanks! Rodney
Thank you, I will do my best!
Hey Bill
Great post! What’s the name of the flashlight in the picture?
Hope all is well my friend
Dave Berry
It’s called the Streamlight Wedge. It’s rechargeable with USB-C cables. One I’d the best I’ve used, Amazon has them.
Up to a 1000 lumens, goes for $103. And change.
Thankyou Bill – Stay well my friend!
I was going to comment on your post where you mentioned Joe McNally was at your home, but for some reason there’s no way to leave a comment there now, so I’ll do it here :-). Anyway, I’m glad to see Joe was visiting you. It tells me more about Joe and I’ve always liked him (from what I knew of him). Seems like my intuition or feelings I had about him were correct. I think he was even on one of those workshops with your guys in the Smokies (along with Ricky Skaggs), right? Oh man…what an outing that would have been for me. I’d be in my element. I wouldn’t be there to learn really, but to be among people I think I’d really enjoy being around. As far as gear goes, I’m still using two systems (as a hobby). OM-1 II, Z8 and Zf. The Z8 is my do everything camera and what I always trust. The Zf is my fun camera (that has stellar image quality also). The OM-1 II is just because I have a soft spot in my heart for m4/3 and a love of the m4/3 lenses. 🙂
