I was sitting in my office reviewing some old files when I came upon this image.  Now before I start , you may not think this photograph is very exciting!  That’s o.k., I do!  And that is my whole point, photography is about what each of us finds visually exciting.  I love to walk around and just see what kinds of reactions I have to the visual stimuli around us.  Getting ready to fly out to Kalispel for the workshop makes me all the more excited about the assault that is coming on my senses!

I’m also excited about having an entire week with Charles, Jim, Snake, Chuck and our great group!  Photography is both a visual and social thing for me, I really enjoy shooting in the field with other photographers!  I’m going to be traveling Wednesday and Thursday, but hope to post by Thursday night, I will be glad to have you come along via the blog!

One equipment note, I really have wanted a fast portrait lens for the X-E1, but sadly, so far neither Zeiss or Fuji has made an 85 to 90 range, fast single focal length lens.  I purchased a Nikon 85mm f2 manual focus AI-S lens yesterday from KEH in  Atlanta,  I’m hoping it will fill the gap until that dream lens comes from someone!  I’ll also fill you in on how that works out!

Thanks for joining me here, and sharing in the joy of photography, and faith with me each day!!!

Blessings,
