Wow! This looks like it will be a great book.
(It may be the info I need to tip the scales to moving over to Fuji from my beloved Canon 7D).
I have no doubt it will be every bit as good as the first offerings from the online store, and will be the number 1 book on my e-book shelf!
Thanks for all your tireless efforts, Bill. You’re making us all better photographers.
Believe it or not, when we teach we make ourselves better too! My pleasure, and thanks for the kind words!
I’m glad I was able to help you fill in the blanks in Chapter 6 regarding the 18-135!!
Ha, I love it, haven’t used much of anything else since I got it!
BTW, you know what I like about the Fuji X system? It’s just plain fun to use. I’m getting more attached to it every day.
You and me too!
So I thought that this might be one of the few ebooks you write that I would probably skip. Now that I see it coming together it is definitely on my wishlist as well! I don’t currently shoot Fuji or any other mirrorless camera and don’t expect to in the near term. For now my shoulder can still take it and from the sound of it mirrorless is still not there for wildlife. However, I’m really looking forward to seeing the images you and the other big hitters you are gathering together have made with your Fujis. That alone should be worth the price of admission!
Thanks Jerry,
There will be a lot of work in this book!
There will be a lot of great images in the book by many shooters!
You ought to put one of Mike Roberts’s photos in as repayment for letting you try out his 18-135 – he has plenty of great photos to choose from, and he’s proof positive that one doesn’t have to be a professional in order to create great images with the Fuji X system cameras!
You are right, and I will contact him immediately good point!!!!
I look forward to it. As said above, every time I read a post on this I get that much closer. Just the images in your books make them worth the price. Keep it up brother.
Doug
Thanks man, I will work hard to make it worthwhile!
Fuji owes you a commission, rebate or something for all of us that you’ve “strong-armed” into the X system! 🙂 Looking forward to the book.
I wouldn’t say strong armed, maybe great enthusiasm for the product would be more on the Mark!
Funny Thing, I still shoot Nikon and have been trying to find a camera that is easier to carry around. I have spent a lot of money trying to find that right camera package. Sold some camera equipment at the local store and saw this Fujifilm X30. Asked the owner about it and he told me a lot of people were starting to use Fuji stuff now. I picked it up and really love it. Fun Camera and does take great shots for what it is. I just wish Lightroom had the RAW package for it but good things come to those who wait. Anyway I cannot wait until your book comes out because I just might pick up another Fujifilm camera in the near future.
Take care and God Bless!
Rick,
There are several RAW converters for folks that wish to shoot RAW. I am using a program called Iridient Developer which is easy use, and gives amazing results. I think that the newest version of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) also work fine. I shoot jpegs the vast majority of the time because of how amazing the Fuji processes them in camera. I will address that in my book.
Any inclusion of HDR with the Fuji? I love doing HDR with mine.
Yes I will address that!
Thanks. I just went to Bodie for the first time and so many of the subjects were perfect for HDR, both with my standard X-T1 and my X-T1 converted to Infrared.
I can’t wait for your next e-book. I have an Oly EP2 that is just the right size for my old shoulders. The Fuji sounds like it might be just right to move up a bit. I have all of your first issued e-books and love your “cut to the chase” language. I am also very impressed that you turned down a chance to work for Fuji. Integrity is precious in this day and age. Thank you, Bill.
Thanks Mary, can’t wait to offer more!
Tease….the wait……..
Now this is great marketing!
I hope so!!!!!
Great outline! I am looking forward to picking it up!
Thanks Patricia!
So… Is it ready yet? What’s taking so long????
J
I’m peddling as fast as I can!! But thanks for being excited!!!!
