Day 5: Winter Project
I don’t do a lot of still life shots, but on a drive through downtown Corbin I found this bicycle in front of an antique store and it just struck me! It was in the shade and the low contrast light allows the white walls on the tires and the lettering on the antique store windows really pop and stand out!
Hope you enjoy it and will comment on how you would have shot it!!!!!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

Bill
I am thoroughly enjoying your project. Love seeing through your camera. Blessings.
Thanks Dave, I really get out of practice over the winter months after the fall leaves are gone, so this is my attempt to stay n practice and have some fun!
I want to see some more still life out of you! I was playing with the 35-100 this weekend…it was a hoot!
It is amazing how small this equiv. 70-200 f 2.8 lens is! It is also as sharp any 70-200 F 2.8 I’ve ever used! In a future blog entry I’ll show how small it is! On top of all that, with image stabilization in the lens working with IBIS in the G9 you have over 7 stops of stabilization!
Special Note: I still have and love my Fujifilm X series bodies and lenses but as I continue to recover from my health issues from 2023, these smaller bodies and lenses from the Micro 4/3rds system are a good alternative while I work my way back to good health! I waved the flag furiously for Fujifilm gear over the last 10 years and still love that system, but you have to listen to your body and that’s what I’m doing! When I agreed to be a Fujifilm X-Photographer I was assured that I would always be able to be honest about what I chose to use for various purposes! I would gladly relinquish that honor if my frankness ever becomes an issue for them. I hold my Fujifilm friends in the highest regard! I just want to always be open and honest with you, my readers of this blog!
