Nelson Images, a day late
Jack and I made it to Moab today, after a stop in Capital Reef. I never got to share some of the other images from Nelson, and we have not started shooting here yet, so, here goes on some of the other images I wanted to share! The shot above is with the 50-140 and a new processing technique Richard Small shared with us, I’m using it on several images here.
The following images were shot and processed in a conventional way.
And finally we did some light painting which is always a lot of fun!
You need to make a trip out to Nelson when you can!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

Always inspired by your Nelson pics, and Yes … I need to get over there someday and see it for myself. I read somewhere that it is privately owned and it costs $10 an hour to be in there?
That’s right, but if you plan your shooting time, you can do a lot in three hours!
Thanks … may go in the morning and then back later in the day. BTW … love the pile of skeleton keys. That would make a great wall hanging.
Beautiful images as usual. You are capturing such wonderful colors!
Thanks Mykes, there certainly was some great color there!
Love all the images, especially the barn. Were you using a long zoom?
Yes the new 50-150 f 2.8 Fuji (70-210 equivalent.)
Like the special processing, are you prepared to spill the beans?
Sure, got it from Richard Small.
1. After processing the image with levels, saturation and sharpening apply NIK Color Efex 4 ‘s Detail Extractor, to your liking. Play with the slider for strength.
2. Apply NIK Color Efex 4’s Duplex filter by clicking on ADD FILTER! Adjust to taste with sliders. That’s it!!!! Thanks to Richard Small!
Bill, Thank You, much appreciated, I’ll sure give it a try on old metal and such
No sweat! Thank Richard Small!
love those keys!
Thanks, me too!
