With Age Comes…………
What does come with age? Well, let’s see; Aches and pains, glorious naps, often being really tired, but it’s not all bad! How about a better vision, understanding thing more. A deeper walk with Christ, a fuller, richer relationship with Him. The peace that comes from the confidence that comes along with age and experience! My relationship with my camera is improving too.
Knocking around and just looking for things, it is coming together, and more important I’m feeling a little younger and having fun, and that’s not a bad thing!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

Just looking for things. A most elegant description of photography and of so much of life.
Amen!
I always enjoy how you pick some bold colors boss…and play with them as a major part of the composition….cheers
I was very influenced by Jay Maisel!
Getting old is for sissies – Growing older is a maturing – a gentle wisdom!!
I’m excited that you’re coming “home” to Grandfather Mountain. You know you’re an accomplished photographer and, more important, a teacher. Great teachers communicate and inspire. If you’re looking for a theme this year, how about something that taps into the wisdom of experience such as the things you wish you’d known 20 or 30 years ago?
And, if I may, I’ve noticed with age an interesting conundrum. As a young photographer I’d often get excited about a scene that sometimes didn’t produce a worthwhile image. Now it seems I can somewhat intuitively set up and shoot a good image but I wish I did it with the energy and enthusiasm I once had. The aches and pains sometimes keep me from doing that.
