Looking for a friendly face……
Ever find yourself just looking for friendly face? I imagine we all have times we miss some good fellowship! I think that is one of the reasons I’m so looking forward to running workshops in retirement and next week!! I love photography and being in beautiful places in great conditions, but honestly I love standing around with great friends and enjoying the moment even more. In the 11 years I ran the Great American Photography Weekends I was on the road over 200 days a year, drove over 70,000 miles a year, and was in every major National Park at least 25 times! I don’t really need to see the parks again, but I love a new crop of great people to share them with. It is a real thrill to see others see these magical places for the first time, it brings back all the joy for me too!
His Light was never about going to incredible places again for me, it was about seeing Jim enjoy his first visit to my special places, and sharing that joy with our Guests. It is a business, and we do make some profit, but Jim and I see it much more as a ministry, and opportunity to share His love with those that join us in the field. I am really excited about seeing everyone in Spokane Saturday afternoon, and I know these locations are going to blow them away! You never know what the weather will be, or the conditions, but I do know one thing for sure, when Jim, Matt, and I and the His Light team walk into the room, they will see some friendly faces!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

I just wanted to send you a quick welcome, in advance, to our corner of the Northwest. I live in the Palouse and you (intentionally of course) picked a fantastic time of year to visit. This is absolutely my favorite time of year here!
It sounds like you will go back to Mt. Rainier as well. Mt. Rainier is one of my favorite places on earth! There is something about Mt. Rainier that makes me feel close to God like no other place I’ve ever been. I consider myself very blessed to be able to live in such a great part of the world and I know your group will be blessed by their time here.
Just FYI, if you end up in Pullman during meal time you should consider Cougar Country. It is a well-loved local restaurant and I love their bacon burger!
Thanks for taking the time to do this blog. It is one of the small handful that I check daily. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Doug, sounds like Pullman may be a must stop!
Doug, thanks for the kind comment about Bill’s Blog and for getting us even more excited about your backyard. It sure would be great if we were in Pullman and you could drop by for a burger……..
Thanks Bill for the opportunities to follow your journey.

Wish I could Jim! However I’m in another beautiful place right now. I’m fortunate enough to be in Maui for the next week! : )
I think highly of what you and Bill are doing though so hopefully there will be another opportunity to meet you guys down the road! Feel free to contact me via email if there is any way I can help future trips to our area be even more successful than I’m sure this one will be.
