Our Prayers, music to God’s ears…..

10 years, 7 months ago 4

I started today praying for the group coming to Glacier and for the group coming to Photoshop World. I enjoy these gatherings of photographers and I know that there are alway opportunities to witness in such gatherings.  My prayer is always the same, place those needing your love in front of me, and then, through the Holy Spirit, guide me to know how to love them for you! Simple formula, that always works!  It always works because it is God centered, not me centered. I don’t know how to help others, but God does, and if we follow His leadings, His will is always done.

I may know what “I” want to do for others, but my wisdom falls way short of what God knows they really need! Why guess when you can get direction from the One who made us.  Prayer is where you meet with God and allow Him to show you His will.  It’s where you lay your will down and admit that you can’t do what needs to be done, apart from Him.  Surrendering to Him is admitting you don’t have all the answers, and in truth hardly any answers at all!  Once that obstacle is removed, it’s utterly amazing what He can do!

God wants to talk with us, to fellowship.  It’s amazing to me, but I’,m so thankful that He does…..

Blessings,

the pilgrim

I love your website, in fact it is to me a devotional. I was drawn to check it out through photography but when I saw it was titled Faith and Photography I was elated. I have struggled over the years wondering how photography fit into my faith. In fact I put it aside for some years partly because I was fearful that it might become an idol to me. I picked it back up a few years ago and I understand I can have a place for photography but it must not be first. Faith, family, church and photography. What a blessing to have them all.

    Bless you pilgrim.

      Thanks Steve,
God already has! In a few weeks I’m teaching a workshop with several Christian brothers, and sisters; Dr. Charles Stanley, Jim Begley, Catherine Martin, and others, what a thrill to enjoy photography in the presence of great brothers and sisters in Christ. These are the gifts that come to you, when you place Him first!

  2. I found out that you are christian because of the shirt you wore on your recent kelby training video, so i came to you website and found this page. I’m a 14 year old photographer from a christian background and most of my family are saved christians.

    Love your work,

  3. Bill, I can’t wait to be on our great photography adventure out in some of God’s most amazing creation there in Glacier. I find these times to be spiritually enriching as we share the Lord, focus on His majesty through the lenses of our cameras, and then grow in our photography AND in our walks with the Lord. See you soon!! Blessings, Catherine Martin
