Hey guys, I’m in Seattle where Fujifilm held their Grand West Coast Release of the Fuji X-T2 last night!  I was honored to be one of four speakers along with Jack Graham, Dan Bailey, and Omar Robie.  We had a great time and saw a lot of our old friends from Seattle and of course the Fujifilm team!  It was a very nice evening!  The photo press and guests really were excited about the X-T2!

In the second image above, X-Photographers,  left to right, the pilgrim, Dan Bailey, Jack Graham, Geoff Hinze of Fujifilm.  It was great to meet Dan, who will be with us in the Great Smokies for the Summit in October.  Of course it is always great to be with Jack and Geoff!!

Tomorrow it’s back to Nashville for our big event there.  Today I will be visiting with the great folks and customers at Glazier’s Camera in Seattle for a Q&A session the X-T2.

Blessings,

Sorry about that, Sherelene took a weeks vacation and decided it was time to catch up on the Honey Do list, NO VACATION!  I’m still sore!  Anyway just have a number of things  I’ve been thinking about and wanted to bring to your attention!

Number One:  I’ve now been using the Fuji 100-400 f 4.5-5.6 zoom for several months and I continue to find it amazing.   It’s amazing because it is so reasonably priced, considering what it is and what it can do.  If you shoot a Fujifilm X Body this lens gives you a fast focusing, extremely stable, (thanks to the extraordinary Optical Image Stabilization, 150mm to 600 mm equiv. lens!!!!   I’m 70 years old and hand holding used to be out of the question, I’ve gotten extremely sharp results at 600mm at 1/60th of a second!  I know younger, steadier photographers that have done it at a 1/15th!!!!  This a seriously high end performing lens for anyone needing to really reach out, want to know something even more amazing, it maintains extreme sharpness with both the Fuji 1.4 and 2 X tele-converters, that’s just sick!!!!

Number Two:  The new schedule for His Light and Jack Graham Photo Workshops and the Fuji Workshops is now posted on the Workshop blog and on Jack’s website.  Take look and find one to joins on!

Number Three:  I will be in Seattle Thursday night for the big West Coast kick off of the X-T2.  I was supposed to be in New York a week ago but got sick and could’t get there, better now, looking forward to seeing everyone and Jack at this next event, Jack and I are two of the three X-Photographers speaking at the event!

Number Four:   My Jay Masiel shot for this month!  Thanks Jay for inspiring all of us!

Blessings to all,

I have been increasingly concerned, worried and fearful about what might befall America if we continue on the path we are on today.  Our nation is severely divided on politics, race, and faith.  God has blessed America and I believe He wants to continue to bless our nation, but real change must come, and not in our politics, but in our hearts.  We must replace hate with love, and strife with peace, and we can’t do that alone.  I ask you that starting this weekend that my readers would share this with everyone they know that is a believer and I ask that we start to pray fervently for God’s intervention in the trouble our nations faces.

I have been very stressed about preparing for the possible, and I’m afraid very likely, difficult times we could face as a nation and as a people.  I called my dear brother Dr. Charles Stanley this morning to share my concerns, and as always, He had a wonderful word for me.  He believes it is not to late for our nation to turn back to God and honor Him and He will honor our nation.

He gave me the scripture to read, and absorb into my spirit, I hope it brings you as much comfort as it has me!  God is in control, we need to be on our knees before Him!

Psalm 62    New Living Translation (NLT)

For Jeduthun, the choir director: A psalm of David.

I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.

So many enemies against one man—
all of them trying to kill me.
To them I’m just a broken-down wall
or a tottering fence.
They plan to topple me from my high position.
They delight in telling lies about me.
They praise me to my face
but curse me in their hearts. Interlude

Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in him at all times.  Pour out your heart to him,

for God is our refuge. Interlude

Common people are as worthless as a puff of wind,
and the powerful are not what they appear to be.
If you weigh them on the scales,
together they are lighter than a breath of air.

10 Don’t make your living by extortion
or put your hope in stealing.
And if your wealth increases,
don’t make it the center of your life.

11 God has spoken plainly,

and I have heard it many times:

Power, O God, belongs to you;
12     unfailing love, O Lord, is yours.
Surely you repay all people
according to what they have done.

This is the most serious issue I’ve ever brought before you, please join me in asking God to save our nation!

Be blessed in your pursuit of Him,

the pilgrim
