We’ve gone non-stop for the last two days, we were rewarded tonight with a great sunset, I will catch up on other images early this coming week, lots to share, but here are a couple from tonight’s shoot!

Today we took the troops to the Charleston Fishing Docks for a morning shoot. I decided to go for color and graphics, Jay Maisel Style. When I was a very young photographer I studied the work of Jay and was greatly influenced by his vision of color, graphic design and simplicity. Hope you enjoy them!
So a feeble attempt at Jay, but I sure had fun!!!

We did our first sunrise shoot this morning on Bandon Beach. The light was from good to o.k. but we had a good time and produce a few nice images.
The X PRO 2 continues to turn out exceptional monochrome images in Acros setting with the red filter.
Nice morning, good group, all is good!!!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

Up Memorial day morning at 4:00 a.m. flew out of Louisville and arrived in Portland at 10:40 Pacific time with a stop in Midway. Jack picked me up at the airport and we made the 6 hour drive to Bandon for our workshop that starts tonight. I got 10.5 hours sleep last night, the last night for such a long rest until I get home next Monday night, awe, the life of a workshop provider and itinerant blog poster!
On the way down yesterday Jack showed me where he made of of my favorite shots of his of old 1940’s Chevys. His shot is better and in better light, a better image, but I did the best I could under the circumstances!
We went out this morning and did a little “plinking”, that’s what I call warm up shooting, hope you enjoy the results, mostly monochrome.
and a little color!
It’s great to be back on the Oregon coast with Jack, and looking forward to meeting our new group tonight. I’ll try to keep you posted!
Blessings,
the pilgrim
