A very Blessed and special Easter for you and your family Bill.
I’ll bet there’s a story behind the Church in this photo. ???

Was waiting for someone to ask. Tim Isaacson, what a dear brother, took me to the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, and this little chapel is there. It was locked and we could not get in but I place my lens against the glass, which thankfully was clean, and held my shirt behind the camera, to knock down any reflections, and yes, I was wearing. T-shirt also! Then converted it two HDR in NIK HDR Efex. Just seemed to be the right shot for Easter.

  2. Brian Miller says:

Grateful for the grace and mercy of Christ’s sacrifice. I don’t deserve it, and I can’t earn it. Risen on the 3rd day, paying my penalty. Thanks, Bill, for all that you do in spreading Christ’s love.

  3. He is risen, alleluia!

  4. Lynn Rogers says:

    He is risen indeed!

  5. Welcome! If you get time, check out Starved Rock State Park with canyons and waterfalls. Although Starved Rock is near Will Clay’s home he teaches at Morton Arboretum which is closer to town. Flowers are delayed a bit otherwise you’d see them at Messenger Woods Forest Preserve and other places. Chicago itself is more about architecture than Americana. Going east around the big pond there’s Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The Chicago Botanical Gardens frowns on tripods (inconsistently enforced) but they are north of the city. Further north, the Mitchell Park Conservatory in Milwaukee is friendlier. Way too early for spring wildflowers at Chiwaukee Prairie near my home. We don’t have the kind of Americana you like to shoot but our contribution, the Museum of Broadcast Communication, is a neat place anyway. If I get up early enough Tuesday I may head down to Starved Rock or way north of Green Bay to Cave Point for sunrise. Welcome. We’ll leave the lights on for you.

  6. Went to Starved Rock at daybreak. Some water left in St. Louis Canyon but you’ll need a long exposure to record it. Wildflowers were Spartan at best.
