I see you are selling your 16-80. The past two or three years this has been a lens that I have seen you use frequently. I am curious about what you will using for a mid-range zoom. Also wondering if you are changing to take max advantage of the X-T5. This leads me to wonder about your current equipment selections for various scenarios. It’s been a little over a year, I believe, since your last “what’s in my bag” post. Eager to see an update.

  2. I’m using two, alternating between the 18-55 and the 18-135. While I like the 16-80, I like both of these too and they both are a little to a lot smaller!

Thanks for the clarification. I hang in with the 16-80 as I like the coverage of the 16 and use that setting a lot. Maybe it was just my copy, but I felt my 16-80 gave me more detail than the 18-135. I would love something like a 16-120 or 16-135.

I think you and Bill are both on track. The 16-80 is a very sharp lens and the 18-55 is maybe one of the two best “kit lenses” around. But the 18-135 is a decent lens that is essentially permanently attached to one of my camera bodies because it’s so versatile.
