Peace on Earth

It’s getting close now, that magical time of celebration!   This is a terrible time to be alone.  As families gather and friends come together, I bet you know someone that will be spending Christmas alone.  Consider setting another place at your Christmas table, or taking a warm meal to a shut in.  You could also find out if the local food bank is delivering baskets and contribute, or better yet, go along and find out the real joy of Christmas!  The baby that was born on Christmas Day spent His life ministering to the poor, the elderly, those in prisons, and those that were lame and  blind.  If you’ve ever wondered how you could please God, it might be to love the same people He loved, and bring comfort to those in dispair.

The greatest way you can share His love is to reach out to the lost.  To share His love and compassion with them, to invite them to the Lord’s table, to help them find the ultimate Peace On Earth!

God has set a wonderful feast table before us, and you are invited to join in the dinner.  This is your invitation.

In Christ,

    Love it Bill,

Except for our first Christmas in Korea, this is my first Christmas not being in my own Home. Usually we’d have done our caroling days before taking pies to give to those we visited. On Christmas Trish and I’d be with the folk at the Mission throughout the day, while our guys here at the House would be distributing food to the needy. At about 5pm we’d gather here, eat a wonderful meal together, and I’d sing and play for a while, then we’d exchange gifts while each of us told how good God had been to us through the year.

Trish and I won’t be here this year, God willing, we’re flying out to Spokane early Sunday morning to spend Christmas, our Anniversary, the New Year, and Epiphany with my Sister’s family. This is going to be the first time we’ve been able to do this since 1978. Our House will rejoice in Jesus, and we get the opportunity to rejoice with my Sister and her family.

    Merry Christmas to you Bill,

God willing I’ll write a little tomorrow.

PS-I don’t know what happened to the note about my Dad. Thank God for Mom and Dad-their patience with me was incredible. They never gave up and I so miss them and thank God for their lives.

    Rob
