I live in a subdivision off the Cumberland Falls Highway (US 25 West) named Tattersall Trails Estates. Each of the streets is named for a Kentucky Derby Winner with a small bugle below denoting the sounding of the starting of a race. I live on Whirlaway Trail, the is the sign at the end of our street!
Photography Post-Mortem: iPhone 12 Pro Max set on Portrait Mode!

It was a rainy overcast day so I went to the downtown area and photographed the Southern Railway’s old passenger car, “The French Broad River”. I love how the Acros film simulation makes fine are looking monochromes. I deliberately cropped the SOUTHERN to keep it from being, essentially, a pan shot and knowing that with that many letters the viewer would figure it out!
Photography Post-Mortem: X-T5 with the XF 90mm f 2 R L WR lens shot at 1/900th of a second at f 5.6 ISO 1600.
Stay dry and blessings,
the pilgrim

Aging wood is amazing! The effects of exposure to water and light make all the difference in how it shows it’s aging process. An old part barn building along the Cumberland Falls Highway is home to the Falls Road Custom Lumber Company. I found a couple of images of the aging wood and and old truck that all seemed made to be shot together.
Photography Post-Mortem: Both wood shots X-T5 with the XF 80mm f 2.8 R IS Macro lens set at F8 shot at 1/100th of a second @ISO 800. Truck shot same lens at 1/320th of a second and f 5.6 @ ISO 800.
In case you were wondering if I have forgotten the one frame a day thing, I just always post that frame first and then if I have supporting images I think you might enjoy I add them, but I’m still only doing one main image. I’m fortunate to live in the sticks, where old trucks, cars, and old barns are plentiful!
Blessings,
the pilgrim

Never try to compete against babies, children or puppies! On the way home from Barbourville I saw a sign that said German Shepherd Puppies For Sale. It was at an old barn so I parked and walked over and sure enough their in a pen was half dozen little ones, I couldn’t resist, I love dogs and these little guys were excited to have a visitor!
Photography Post-Mortem: Fujifilm X-T5 with the XF 56mm f 1.2 R shot at 1/500th of a second @ f 5.6 ISO 200.
Happy Valentines’s Day, it is mine and Sherelene’s 53rd Wedding Anniversary today!
